The eHandle SecuSignal® for windows is a convenience component for smart home systems. As soon as the handle is moved, it transmits a wireless signal as important information for many smart home scenarios. The EnOcean technology used communicates without batteries according to the climate-neutral principle of energy harvesting.

Battery-free – wireless – convenient

The eHandle SecuSignal® for windows uses the EnOcean wireless standard, which enables communication on the carbon-neutral principle of energy harvesting, without the need for any batteries.

Certified burglar resistance

When fitted to the appropriate windows, the lockable versions of the eHandles SecuSignal® for windows meet the requirements of the European standards DIN EN 1627-1630 (resistance classes RC 1-6) and DIN EN 13126-3 (security grade 2).

Simple integration into smart home systems

It takes just a few minutes to start up the eHandle for windows: just add the handle to the system using the manufacturer’s guidelines and then integrate it as a new component.

The following scenarios could be configured in a system with the eHandle SecuSignal® for windows:

  • Air conditioning only runs if the window is closed
  • Heating is automatically reduced if the window is opened for ventilation
  • The volume of consumer electronics is reduced when the window is open
  • Roller shutters are closed automatically only if the terrace door is closed
  • The light only turns on if the window is closed (midges in summer)

Wireless range planning

Wireless signals are electromagnetic waves whose signal can be diminished on the way from the transmitter to the receiver. A detailed guide to wireless range planning is available in the EnOcean Application Note “Range Planning for Systems using EnOcean Radio” on the website www.enocean.com.
