Rich, dark tones and rusty colours dominate modern interior design styles – particularly popular in combination with textured surfaces that enhance a rustic and industrial feel.

New finishes for four popular HOPPE series
Handles from the Austin, Hamburg, Miami and Toulon series are now available in sand-brown (F8607STRUK), sand-grey (F7302STRUK) and sand-black (F9301STRUK) to match this trend. The special feature: The textured surface gives the handle an attractive look and an interesting feel.

With the sand-brown finish, HOPPE is expanding its range with a colour that is ideal for interiors with a lot of natural wood or earthy tones. Sand-brown handles also create a harmonious overall look in home interior designs with green or red elements.

The surfaces in sand-grey and sand-black are slightly more traditional, but no less interesting. The texture of the handles comes into its own in bright rooms with lots of light, for example.

With the new matt anthracite-grey (F7016M) finish, HOPPE offers a grey tone that either blends discreetly into dark colour concepts or creates contrasts in light living spaces, depending on the interior design.

Attractive shapes on doors and windows
The Austin and Toulon series are well suited to modern furnished spaces and clean designs thanks to their angular features.

The Hamburg series is characterised by the fine lines, where angular and round design elements work harmoniously together.

The large Miami stainless steel handle from the duravert® product line is designed for floor-to-ceiling doors and accommodates the changed dimensions between door and room. With its D-shaped cross section, does the handle give a pleasant fell in your hand.

Tried-and-tested HOPPE technologies
In addition to attractive looks, function is also important: The window handles in the Austin, Hamburg and Toulon series have various burglary-resistant features. Besides Secustik® and Secu100®, the unique SecuForte® technology ensures that the window handle is automatically blocked when the window is closed or tilted. Equipped with SecuTBT® technology – which enables unlocking only by turning the key and the handle at the same time – the Toulon series is also suitable for TBT windows in commercial buildings.

The handle sets in the Austin, Hamburg, Miami and Toulon series are of course equipped with the proven HOPPE Quick-Fit. Thanks to the unique clamping mechanism, the door handles can be permanently fixed in place with a single movement.

Amidst the ongoing challenges in Ukraine, the Ukraine Aid Association (“Verein Ukraine Hilfe”) from Herisau (CH) is demonstrating solidarity and hope. Their project “Your donation makes a home” focuses on enabling small, prefabricated residential units – known as residential modules – to be built in order to help people who have lost their homes as a result of the ongoing war.

HOPPE is actively contributing to financing the construction of these urgently needed residential modules. The 19-square-metre modules are designed for one to two people and are manufactured in the Winnyzja region of Ukraine by Divario Ukraine GmbH. The production and assembly costs are kept low by training Ukrainian employees in Switzerland. These small dwellings are already preassembled ready for move-in during production and installed around 270 kilometres north of the Divario site. The costs for one module amount to around CHF 23,500. So far, 85 such modules have already been installed and handed over to the population thanks to donations.

Particularly in the winter months, this aid is of crucial significance. The cold season requires increased efforts to improve the living conditions of people in Ukraine. The residential modules not only offer affected people a roof over their heads, but also hope and support.

HOPPE strongly supports the Ukraine Aid Association’s (Verein Ukraine Hilfe) project and thus makes a significant contribution to rebuilding the livelihoods of people who have lost their homes as a result of the war in Ukraine.

Visit the website of the Ukraine Aid Association (Verein Ukraine Hilfe) for more detailed information on the project.

Every donation, regardless of its amount, contributes to improving the lives of those most affected by the impact of the crisis in Ukraine. The support of HOPPE and other donors is an opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives and to give hope for a better future.

  • The eHandle ConnectSense from HOPPE offers extensive functions for monitoring windows in smart homes.
  • Break-in attempts are reliably detected and deterrent measures can be triggered immediately.
  • Constant matching of handle and window position enables reliable (remote) monitoring of window conditions in smart homes.
Illustration 1: E0400Z-EF-US956-F69-Motiv1-ConnectSense.jpg

Window monitoring
The eHandle ConnectSense reliably detects break-in attempts through a window in a smart home – and reports it to the smart home control centre. Both the position of the handle (closed, tilted, open) and the position of the window itself (closed, open) are detected and reported.

Integrated into a smart home system, the eHandle ConnectSense offers numerous features for monitoring a building’s window situation – and with the proper system configuration, possibly even from afar via smartphone messaging.

Detects break-in attempts on the window
A specially developed algorithm can distinguish between an actual break-in attempt (e.g. by prying open the window) and accidental shock (e.g. caused by children playing with balls).

As soon as the handle detects an attempted break-in, deterrent measures can be triggered via the smart home control centre. These actions can be individually configured by the user in the smart home system and can include, for example, lowering the shutters, switching on the lights, an alarm siren or sending a break-in message to the residents via smartphone.

More convenience for Smart Homes
Beside the break-in detection feature, users can define scenarios that ensure greater energy efficiency and convenience.

The constant matching of handle and window position ensures that the system precisely determines whether a window is actually opened or whether only the handle is in the open position without the window having been moved.

For example, the heating or air conditioning system can be set so that it automatically shuts down when users are ventilating. Or the roller shutters may only close automatically when the patio door is closed. Further scenarios are possible – depending on the setup of the smart home system and the preferences of the resident.

Highly reliable transmission thanks to standard radio protocol Z-Wave Plus
The eHandle ConnectSense uses the standard radio protocol Z-Wave Plus. It is therefore equipped with the current “S2” security standard and establishes encrypted communication in combination with a Z-Wave Plus smart home control centre. The handle is downward-compatible and can therefore also be integrated into existing Z-Wave networks.
The eHandle ConnectSense for windows can be operated in any Z-Wave network with other certified Z-Wave devices from other manufacturers. Many Z-Wave devices can act as repeaters, increasing the reliability and range of the network.
In order to ensure that the signal is transmitted at all times, the eHandle ConnectSense for windows sends a signal when the handle is operated, when an attempted break-in is detected and also at regular intervals (e.g. every hour). The radio signal is transmitted until the smart home control centre confirms receipt.
The power supply is low maintenance via a battery with a service life of approximately two years.

Timeless design
Battery and circuit board are concealed inside the high-quality stainless steel handle. A plastic end cap ensures the unimpeded transmission of the wireless signal.
The eHandle ConnectSense for windows is available in the popular mitred shape of the Amsterdam series. In addition to the classic colours satin stainless steel (F69) and traffic white (F9016), it is also available in the contemporary colour matt black (F9714M).

Illustration 2: E0400Z-EF-US950S-F9714M-Motiv1-ConnectSense.jpg

Also available with proven break-in protection
Models with keyed locking rosette in combination with the appropriate window profile meet the requirements of European standards DIN EN 1627–1630 (resistance classes RC 1–6) and thus offer proven burglary protection in addition to break-in detection.

  • A new generation of eHandle FingerScan for doors from HOPPE – with finger scanning modules from ekey biometric systems – offers a wide range of new models and finishes.
  • The integration of the finger scanning module into the eHandle for doors allows the door to be unlocked and opened in a single movement of the hand.
  • The ekey bionyx app allows convenient control of the eHandle for doors and offers practical additional functions.
Illustration 1: E5091BC-75NSB-ZA-PZ-F69-ekey-Motiv1a-nW-Daumen-Led-blau.jpg

HOPPE presents the new generation of its eHandle FingerScan for doors: the finger scanning modules are now supplied by the manufacturer ekey biometric systems. As before, the scanning module is ergonomically integrated into the entrance door fitting. Unlike other systems that require the use of a scanner field next to the entrance door, front doors fitted with this system can be unlocked and opened in one single hand movement – simply by placing a finger on the scanning module. No key, card or numerical code is required for access. This means there is no possibility of such means of access being lost, forgotten, or passed on to unauthorised individuals.
User profiles are set up using a smartphone with the ekey bionyx app. The app enables convenient management of user profiles and offers useful additional functions, such as access notifications and the possibility to open the door remotely when out and about.

Several new models and finishes
The eHandle FingerScan for doors is available in a number of new models, which include pull handles with a rounded bar shape or rectangular cross section, as well as a knob mounted on a narrow backplate.
These are available in addition to more familiar shapes, such as pull handles with a D-shaped cross section or a variety of security handle sets with a knob on backplate or rose). HOPPE remains the only European manufacturer to offer knob sets with an integrated finger scanning module.

Illustration 2: E86GBC-3332ZA-PZ72-F69-ekey-Motiv1-nW-Led-blau.jpg

All models are available with a stainless-steel matt finish (F69) and a black matt finish (F9714M), reflecting the latest design trends.

ekey bionyx app: simple user profile management and useful additional functions
The ekey bionyx app guides the administrator conveniently and intuitively through the setup process for new users and teaching in new fingerprints. A maximum of 20 user profiles (80 fingerprints) can be programmed.
The app offers the following functions: assignment or withdrawal of access authorisations; recording of access events in a protocol and remote door opening when out and about.
Access notifications are sent to the smartphone every time to inform the administrator which person has used the eHandle FingerScan. This makes it possible to determine remotely whether, for example, a child has arrived home from school at the expected time.
Further functions of the bionyx app have been announced for the second quarter of 2022: In the future, it will be possible to integrate it in smart-home systems and to define customised access time slots.

New ekey finger scanning modules with highly reliable functionality
The finger scanning modules are supplied by the manufacturer ekey biometric systems, one of the leading providers of finger scan access solutions in Europe. The modules of the new “dLine” product line are extremely user-friendly and offer highly reliable functionality. They operate reliably even in harsh climatic conditions and are designed for temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C.
The finger scanning module captures the features of the lines on the finger and compares them with the data stored in the reference fingerprint. According to ekey, the false acceptance rate – i.e. the probability of a person without authorisation being granted access – is 1:10,000,000, making the eHandle FingerScan for doors 1,000 times more secure than the 4-digit PIN of an EC card.
The finger scanning module has a special finish that prevents an image of the fingerprint from being left on the scanner itself, which keeps any unauthorised copies from being made. LED segments on the finger scanning module indicate the operating status, configuration steps and fingerprint recognition.

Easy installation for installers
A HOPPE eHandle FingerScan for doors is straightforward to install: all the installer has to do is make a cut-out for the control unit on the hinge side, route the pre-assembled cables from the pull handle support via the control unit to the motorised lock and connect them there.
The pull handle models of the eHandle FingerScan are fitted as usual with the tried-and-tested pull handle fixing system from HOPPE.

  • New Kompakt window handle from HOPPE offers an attractive, reduced design for modern interior design concepts
  • The sturdy structure with concealed base ensures a secure fit and easy installation on window profiles made of aluminium, wood and PVC
Illustration 1: 0700RLS-F9714M-Motiv2.jpg

Modern interior design styles often focuses on clear-cut design and simple elegance. To match this style, HOPPE’s new Kompakt window handle offers a subtle design that does not require a rosette – the handle is attached to a base, completely conceals it and therefore sits directly on the window profile. The four-point screw connection of the base ensures a stable fit on window profiles of all materials, including aluminium, wood and PVC.

Secure mounting on all window profiles
The window profile is specially prepared for the installation of HOPPE Kompakt window handles. Two face holes accommodate the lugs of the base and prevent unintentional rotation during actuation. Four additional screws fix the base in place and ensure that it sits stably on aluminium, wood and PVC window profiles.
The Kompakt window handle is patent* pending. Handle and base offer the usual high-quality workmanship and are based on the DIN EN 13126-3 standard. The specially developed detent enables precise actuation.

*Patent number EP4030021A1

Illustration 2: 0700RL-F9714M-Motiv3.jpg

Simple handle mounting
A quick-fastening element integrated in the base ensures easy mounting of the handle. When assembled, the element securely holds the square spindle in the profile; the handle can be removed quickly and easily again with a small tool wrench.

Attractive series and finishes
The HOPPE Kompakt window handle is available for the angular Austin and Toulon series, as well as the slightly rounded Hamburg series. The three aluminium series emphasise the reduced design with their timeless and understated shapes.
The choices currently include silver effect (F1), bronze effect (F4), steel effect (F9) as well as the contemporary colours black matt (F9714M) and traffic white (F9016).
A keyed locking variant is also available for increased burglary protection.

The tried-and-tested Quick-FitPlus connection technology is now also available for handle sets with standard roses and escutcheons. HOPPE thus offers a key installation advantage: Both handles and escutcheons can be fitted quickly and without screws.

Non-screw fitting
The Quick-FitPlus connection for interior door handle sets with standard roses and escutcheons is available for the Hamburg, Luxembourg and Verona series. Thanks to the patented connection, the roses and escutcheons can be fitted quickly and without screws. The roses and escutcheons provided with supporting lugs and the handles are simply connected to each other on the prepared door. To ensure the handle maintains its fit on the door for many years to come, the handle roses are equipped with a spring cassette.

Reliable technology
The through-going supporting lugs of the handle roses and escutcheons each consist of a pin and a sleeve made of glass fibre reinforced plastic. Pushing them into each other results in a stable fixing free from play.
This solution can be used for standard doors with standard locks. No special door preparation is necessary. Just two guide holes (Ø = 7 mm) are required for the through-going supporting lugs of the roses and escutcheons.
The technology has been tested in accordance with DIN EN 1906 and can be used in commercial buildings. Naturally, HOPPE guarantees the mechanical function of its Quick-FitPlus handle sets for 10 years.

Simple disassembly
A disassembly aid is provided for detaching the roses and escutcheons again. This is inserted into the handle or escutcheon and turned by 45 degrees. Pull firmly to release the connection and separate the two roses and escutcheons respectively from each other.

  • Clear lines and angular shapes: such handles are on trend and ideal for contemporary interiors.
  • Austin series available with SecuForte®, Secustik® and Secu100® technologies, Toulon series also suitable for commercial and public buildings
  • The Miami door handle is designed for floor-to-ceiling doors and accommodates the changed dimensions between door and room

Handles of angular shape – Austin, Toulon and Miami
Clean lines, elegant design, and angular shapes: such handles are on trend. With Austin, Toulon and Miami, HOPPE is offering handle series that go well with modern rooms and clear designs thanks to their angular design.
Various technologies are available for the Austin and Toulon series for increased burglary protection: in addition to Secustik® and Secu100®, the unique SecuForte® technology ensures that the window handle is automatically locked in closed and tilted position.
Equipped with SecuTBT® technology – which can only be unlocked by turning the key and the handle at the same time – the Toulon series is also suitable for commercial and public buildings.

Austin series – consistently linear
Thanks to its linear design, the Austin series blends particularly well into modern interior designs. The series is available as a complete product family for doors and windows, which means the entire house can be fitted with the same handle design.
Window handles from this series are available in different combinations with SecuForte®, Secustik® and Secu100® technologies, as well as in a lockable version. A standard version with flat rosette is also available. The patented VarioFit® technology ensures that the spindle of window handles can be continuously adjusted to the depth of the window profile. This allows to bridge installation depths of up to 10 mm.
For lift-slide doors, a classic lift-slide handle set and a flat handle set with a near-flush design are available. The series also offers different versions for interior doors: mini roses that highlight the angular handle shape particularly well and also standard roses. Models for profile doors round off the product range and complete the Austin product family. Bright handles can be used to set effective highlights in contemporary interiors – a range of finishes such as silver effect (F1) or matt stainless steel effect (F31-1) are available.

Serie Austin – konsequent linear

Toulon series – striking shape
The Toulon series includes handles for windows, profile doors and interior doors in a striking angular shape. The angular and straight shape of the top contrasts with the finger grips on the back of the handle, which contribute to a pleasant feel. With HOPPE Secustik® and VarioFit® technologies integrated as standard, the Toulon series also meets the requirements for increased protection. The tried-and-tested Quick-Fit technology also means fast and precise assembly.
Since the interior door handle sets meet the requirements of category of use – grade 3, they are also perfectly suited for use in commercial and public buildings. Window handles with the SecuTBT® function are also available for commercial and public buildings. They have a major security advantage over conventional TBT handles: unlocking is only possible when the key and the handle are turned at the same time.
A range of attractive finishes such as silver effect (F1), steel effect (F9) or traffic white (F9016) are available.

Serie Toulon – markante Form

Miami series – for floor-to-ceiling doors
The large Miami handle is designed for floor-to-ceiling doors and accommodates the changed dimensions between door and room. With a D-shaped cross-section, the basic shape adapts well to the hand operating it. The Miami handle is available in two versions: with barely visible rose or with a flat, horizontally mounted backplate.
Three contemporary finishes – satin stainless steel (F69), matt black (F9714M) and matt traffic white (F9016M) – suit the latest interior trends and make the Miami interior door handle set a harmonious addition to floor-to-ceiling doors, which are often installed in loft apartments or offices.

A window handle that recognises a forced entry attempt? HOPPE’s eHandle ConnectSense for windows immediately notifies you if anyone tries to tamper with the window.

eHandle ConnectSense for windows HOPPE, Amsterdam series, satin stainless steel (F69)

Three sensors in a single handle

The new eHandle ConnectSense for windows with integrated sensors is the ideal solution for monitoring handle and window states in a building. It combines three sensors in a single handle: a vibration sensor, a window sensor and a handle sensor.

eHandle ConnectSense for windows HOPPE – Three sensors in a single handle

The vibration sensor detects a forced entry attempt and reports it to the smart home control centre without delay. If the control centre is programmed accordingly, it can send a message to a smartphone or other devices integrated into the system, for example, an alarm siren can be triggered or the light can be switched on, or roller shutters lowered.

The handle identifies different forced entry techniques such as piercing glass or prying open windows and distinguishes them from accidentally triggered vibrations. No signal is sent to the control centre following impact by a ball or a window slamming shut due to a draught.

But the handle can do even more: in addition to displaying the handle position, it also monitors the position of the window itself. This makes it possible to see whether a window is actually closed, even if it appears to be firmly in contact with the frame. This can also be queried from smartphone app of the control centre – so you can check that everything is in order even when out and about.

Energy-saving and convenient

Using the connection to the smart home control centre, handle position detection offers even more functions that can make a home more energy-efficient and comfortable. Numerous scenarios can be defined: for example, the heating or air conditioning system can be set so that it automatically shuts down when users are airing rooms. Or the roller shutters may only close automatically once the patio door is closed. The possibilities are practically endless, depending on the smart home system of course.

eHandle ConnectSense for windows HOPPE – Energy-saving and convenient

Secure and compatible

The standard Z-Wave Plus communications protocol is used for wireless transmission. The eHandle ConnectSense for windows is equipped with the current “S2” security standard and establishes encrypted communication in combination with a Z-Wave Plus smart home control centre. The system is backwards compatible and can therefore also be integrated into existing Z-Wave networks and all common smart home systems. And if the distance between the window and the control centre is too great for the signal, other Z-Wave devices integrated in the network can take on the function of a repeater to extend the network range.

The entire technology is integrated discreetly into the stainless steel window handle. The wireless unit and battery are located inside the handle and are easily accessible. The wireless signal is transmitted unhindered by the plastic end cap. A light-emitting diode signals wireless transmission during movement and provides support during setup. As the eHandle ConnectSense for windows only consumes a small amount of power, the battery has a service life of around two years.

Easy installation and setup

Replacing a standard handle with the new eHandle ConnectSense for windows is easy and takes just a few minutes, even if you’re not a specialist. As the drill holes for standard window handles are standardised, the drill holes for the existing handle can be used for the eHandle ConnectSense for windows. The installation and operating instructions have a clear structure and guide you step by step through the setup process. The necessary accessories and battery are included in the scope of delivery.

eHandle ConnectSense for windows HOPPE, Amsterdam series, matt black (F9714M)

The eHandle ConnectSense for windows is available in the popular mitred shape of the Amsterdam series. Trending matt black is also available for selection in addition to the classic matt stainless steel and traffic white. And as a mechanical security device is the basis for ideal protection against forced entry, the handle can also be selected with a lockable rose.

People who choose keyless access for their home usually want two things: convenience and safety. With the eHandle HandsFree for doors from HOPPE, you get both: a completely new type of convenient contactless unlocking of the motorised lock and secure technology.

eHandle HandsFree for doors – makes access more convenient

Contactless unlocking = convenient access

The eHandle HandsFree for doors makes it possible to unlock the front door without having to put anything down, simply by moving your foot through a light spot under the pull handle.

This means that bulky items, multiple items of luggage, carrier bags or even small children can be carried into the house without having to put them down at the front door and search for a key in the bag.

Here’s how it works:

  • Instead of a key, residents of the home carry a transponder with them.
  • The transponder transmits an AES-encrypted signal, which is automatically recognised by the control unit of the eHandle for doors.
  • As soon as the user approaches has approached within one meter of the front door from the outside, a light spot is generated under the pull handle on the outside of the door.
  • Now all the user has to do is move their foot – or even a walking aid – through the light spot and the motorised lock of the front door receives the signal to unlock.

Secure and reliable technology

The signals between the transponder and the control unit of the eHandle for doors are AES-encrypted according to the current state of the art. The wireless detection radius is limited to one metre – an additional communication protection.

The transponder is automatically switched off after 30 seconds in rest position, which means that it stops sending signals and also stops using energy during this time.

The door cannot be opened unintentionally from the inside, e.g. if the transponder is placed in the house close to the front door. A special configuration ensures that the system can distinguish whether the transponder signal is transmitted in front of or behind the door – only when it comes from the outside does the light field appear, which enables the lock to be unlocked.

Various finishes

Entrance areas for front doors can be designed very differently. With the eHandle HandsFree for doors, different light colours can be set so that you can be sure that the light spot is always clearly visible, for example if a new floor mat is added.
