DEBAR BI-FOLD HARDWARE has become the first bi-fold door hardware systems manufacturer to offer the ARRONE AR7550 lever handle.
The Bradford-based company designs and manufactures bi-folding door hardware, including handles, locks, and door catches, as well as supplying accessories.
Andrew Fawthrop, national sales manager at Debar Ltd., said:
“Bi-folds are always a popular choice, but it is a premium product. This product needs high-quality and reliable hardware that will withstand high usage, which is why we’ve chosen to offer the AR7550 to our customers. We’ve had interest from lots of our customers who want to offer the same high quality but at a more economical price point.”

One of those customers is Nottingham-based installer New Century Windows Ltd. It recently placed an order with Debar Ltd. that included the AR7550 lever handle as part of the bi-fold hardware system. As part of the support package, they have received training from Debar on how to cut the profile as well as how to fabricate and install the hardware.
Paul Booth, production manager at New Century Windows Ltd. said:
“We consistently prioritise top-quality products, and we pay close attention to detail. HOPPE and ARRONE handles continue to live up to our high standards, and our customers are impressed with the design and premium quality. The handles not only comply with relevant safety standards but also look great. We look forward to continue working with HOPPE in the future.”
The AR7550 lever handle has a standard 10.7mm backplate depth with a long backplate fixing designed to cover the majority of lock applications. The AR7550 is the primary option on the Debar design tool for a customer to choose when placing an order for a bi-fold.
Andy Matthews, head of sales at HOPPE (UK) said:
“During warmer months, an impressive bi-fold door allows a seamless transition from the home to the garden and is a popular choice for homeowners. The AR7550 handle is available in seven different finishes including polished brass, polished chrome, black, white, satin chrome, anthracite grey and graphite to allow the homeowner to match with existing hardware.”
The AR7550 has been tested to 200,000 cycles and has achieved the highest corrosion resistance grade under BS EN 1670 making it suitable for use in coastal locations to make the most out of that all-important sea view.
Whether it's used on a bi-fold door to enjoy outside living in the summer months or to make the most out of that all-important sea view, the AR7550 is the perfect choice.
