AAMA Association

HOPPE North America, Inc. is a National Member in good standing of the AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association)

The membership of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) is made up of people who are concerned about the direction of their companies and their industry. AAMA brings together the professionals of window, door, and skylight manufacturing companies, both large and small, from all across the U.S. and internationally, to represent our individual and shared concerns. As AAMA members, we address issues of critical importance to us, sharing our experience and knowledge, and participating in efforts to shape the future for all of us.

Not only are member voices heard within the association, but AAMA initiatives also carry member voices to Washington and to regional and local governmental bodies. Every year, AAMA proactively and effectively influences codes, construction and specification issues. In addition to its strong national voice, AAMA is active and influential in the Western and Southeastern regions of the U.S. and is developing additional regions for local focus. With this kind of local, grass roots representation, AAMA provides focus and direction on issues that are of special concern in your part of the country.

AAMA’s history spans over six decades. During that time, they have become recognized around the world for the development of standards that provide third-party validation of product performance and quality. Their continuing objective is to develop the highest level of technical expertise and to support member companies with business services, market research and marketing programs that make practical contributions to our members’ success and profitability.

AAMA has recently introduced a more stringent and comprehensive industry standard, the ANSI/AAMA/NWWDA 101/I.S.2. It encompasses not only the performance of vinyl, wood and aluminum windows and doors, but also the performance standards for window and door components like extrusions, glass, sealants and hardware. It defines these standards for windows and doors for residential, commercial (both light and heavy), and architectural applications.
