Letterbox Security
The ARRONE AR708HS letterplates have been designed to satisfy the requirements of TS 008:2022; the latest technical specification for enhanced security and general requirements applicable to letterplate assemblies and slide-through letter boxes.
What is TS008?
As part of the building regulations set out under approved document Q, states all easily accessible doorsets should be secure doorsets.
The Door and Hardware Federation’s (DHF) technical specification TS 008:2022 has been shown to protect against attacks mentioned as part of the secure doorset requirements outlined within document Q.
TS008 is a security standard that offers a means of evaluation against opportunist attacks including protection against letterbox fishing and letterbox manipulation while allowing post, to pass through freely.
The ARRONE AR708HS TS008 letterplate has successfully passed TS008 manipulation testing and simulating attempts to operate a lock/latch on the inside of the door through the letterplate.

The AR708HS is a new addition to the ARRONE suited range that has everything an entrance door needs – from handle sets, numerals, spyholes, door knockers, and letterplates.
Featuring an anti-theft steel guard and an attractive, non-intrusive slimline cover, the AR708HS and AR708FHS fire-rated secure letterplates provide sleek, elegant protection against letterbox theft. A fire-rated version of the AR708HS is approved for use on FD30 and FD60 doors and is supported with Certifire certification when installed with the associated ARRONE intumescent kit.
