Press release March 2020
HOPPE cancels attendance at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2020
For HOPPE, the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE trade fair is one of the most important events in the industry. It is our opportunity to meet with our customers face to face where we have interesting discussions and where the handle of excellence can be fully experienced. As a result, we put countless hours and a lot of heart and soul into our preparation and presence. Therefore, it is with great regret that we now have to cancel our attendance of this year's FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, currently scheduled from 16 June to 19 June 2020.
We have taken this decision in view of the current situation and the unpredictable development in connection with the Corona pandemic. The health and safety of our employees and partners are our top priority. And we recognize our responsibility to contribute to the efforts to prevent the virus’ increasing spread in society.
Of course, you, as our partners, should have the opportunity to learn about our innovations even without our presence at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE. That is why we invite you to look at our press releases – e. g. on our latest mechatronic eHandles for doors and windows, on SecuForte®, our new standard in mechanical burglary resistance, and on many other interesting topics.

Unlock the front door without having to put anything down
The eHandle HandsFree for doors allows you to unlock the front door without having to set anything down. By simply swiping your foot across a spotlight, the motorised lock is unlocked and the door can be opened. Those who are authorised to open the door are automatically recognised by a transponder as they approach the door. The eHandle HandsFree for doors thus offers the user exceptional convenience when entering the house. It is now very easy to bring bulky items, lots of shopping bags or even little children in your arms into the house, without needing to set anything down in front of the door. Communication between the transponder and the control unit is encrypted using state-of-the-art AES technology, thus offering a decisively higher degree of security than that of a standard key. Since the radio detection radius is limited to one metre, communication is even more protected.

Locks all by itself: the eHandle AutoLock for windows
The burglary-resistant eHandle AutoLock for windows locks automatically the moment it is turned to the closed position, and therefore is a useful component of convenience and security for any smart home or smart building system. Like all HOPPE eHandles for windows, the eHandle AutoLock transmits its changed handle position to such a system each time it is operated. In the closed position, it locks automatically and then unlocks only when the system issues the corresponding release (within the parameters defined by the user). The locked eHandle AutoLock (for windows) offers mechanical burglary protection according to the recommendations of the German criminal investigation police and, in conjunction with the appropriate window, fulfils the requirements of the European standards DIN EN 1627-1630 (Resistance Classes RC 1-6) and DIN EN 13126-3. Encrypted communication between the handle and system via EnOcean Secure Protocol additionally increases the level of security for a smart home.
eHandle ConnectHome for windows transmits without a battery
The eHandle ConnectHome for windows expands the range of mechatronic HOPPE products to include an additional eHandle for windows based on climate-neutral Energy Harvesting – environmentally friendly, sustainable and with hardly noticeable electronic emissions. The eHandle ConnectHome works completely without batteries. The energy necessary to transmit the wireless signal is produced from the movement of the eHandle itself. The information transfer is reliable and requires no maintenance or annoying battery changes. Whenever it is moved, the eHandle ConnectHome (for windows) transmits a signal about the change of its position to the smart home system, thus providing information that improves the programmed processes in the house or apartment (for example, heating and air conditioning control, blinds, lighting, etc.). With its slim rose and two attractive handle shapes, the eHandle ConnectHome for windows blends harmoniously into every smart home.
Innovative SecuForte® technology also available for the versatile Austin series
SecuForte®, the new standard in burglary resistance from HOPPE, is now available for yet another appealing series. Along with the Hamburg series and the Toulon series, window handles from the Austin series too feature the innovative technology of SecuForte®. The striking shapes of the Austin range are the pinnacle of angular design. The Austin series is characterised by a strictly linear design and includes window handles with SecuForte®, as well as window handles with flat rosettes – also equipped with proven burglary-resistant technology – and handle sets for interior doors with standard, compact or mini-roses. A handle with a nearly flush design for modern lift/slide door assemblies now complements the series with an attractive piece of hardware for large-format glazing. A range of expressive finishes adds to the modern look and feel of the aluminium Austin series: They respond to current trends in interior decoration while being timeless companions to modern living.

Super-stylish finishes for door and window handles
When it comes to furniture and home accessories, one trend has been popular for some time now, and has found its way into the world of architectural fittings as well – door and window handles in dark or metallic colours! HOPPE has expanded the colour palette for its handles of excellence with new finishes. Anthracite and black, as well as a brass and copper colour – each available in either a glossy or satin effect. The dark architectural fittings in anthracite and black will really give rooms that special touch. You can enhance colourful details of your furniture or lend even more elegance to a fairly muted tone-in-tone interior design style – set against dark door leaves, for instance. Copper and brass-coloured fittings lend rooms a cosy and friendly feel. The warm copper colour goes well with natural wood colours, while brass-colour finishes not only suit luxuriously decorated homes, for instance, thanks to their gold-like shade, but also simpler Scandinavian-inspired living. Wherever the new HOPPE finishes are used, their high-quality appearance is long-lasting, even with intensive use or in harsh climatic conditions. The architectural fittings are equipped with Resista® technology and come with a ten-year surface guarantee.

New handle shapes with mini-roses
Mini-roses add that special touch! With its radically minimalistic form, it is barely noticeable on the door; the handle design takes on a new character. HOPPE handles include attractive mini-roses in round and square designs – for both rounded and angular handle shapes. Especially noticeable accents are created by putting together a handle and mini-rose of different colours. In this way, attractive combinations of various trend colours can be achieved. Freely combined handles and mini-roses are available for the brass series Los Angeles, Dallas and Amsterdam. The colour palette includes warm brass and copper-coloured finishes, as well as the elegant shades of anthracite and black – each in a glossy polished and satin version. The sophisticated choices allow for personalised selection and a unique living environment.
