HOPPE at BAU 2023: Innovative solutions and modern designs
The time has finally come again: the industry will be coming together at BAU 2023 in Munich. The leading international trade fair for the construction industry will once again take place as an in-person event from 17 to 22 April. HOPPE will be present like always in Hall B4, Stand 339, showcasing a range of innovations and innovative solutions from the areas of design, fitting technology and smart homes. Particularly noteworthy is the eHandle ConnectSense for windows, which not only queries window statuses, but also detects forced entry attempts and reports them to the smart home control centre. In the field of design, HOPPE will be showcasing handles with angular geometries, which are the current trend and ideal for modern homes. With the Quick-FitPlus fitting technology for standard roses and escutcheons, HOPPE will be showing how handle and escutcheons can be fitted quickly and without screws. Visitors can also take a first look at a new Secustik® solution from HOPPE.
eHandle ConnectSense – Keeping an eye on the window
People who set up a smart home want to make living more comfortable and safer while saving energy. With the eHandle ConnectSense, HOPPE offers the right solution for the reliable monitoring of window statuses. It detects forced entry attempts on the window and reports them to the smart home control centre. Both the position of the handle (closed, tilted, open) and the position of the window itself (closed, open) are detected and reported. This means that the eHandle ConnectSense for windows also helps users define scenarios that ensure greater energy efficiency and convenience. If the window is opened for ventilation, the heating or air-conditioning system, for example, can be switched off automatically. The standard communications protocol Z-Wave Plus is used for wireless transmission. The eHandle ConnectSense for windows is available in the timeless Amsterdam mitred shape. Contemporary finishes like black matt are also available in addition to the classic matt stainless steel and traffic white finishes.

eHandle FingerScan for doors – Finger, not key
HOPPE presents the new generation of its eHandle FingerScan for doors: the finger scanning modules are now supplied by the manufacturer ekey biometric systems. As before, the scanning module is ergonomically integrated into the entrance door fitting. Unlike other systems that require the use of a scanner field next to the door, entrance doors fitted with this system can be unlocked and opened in one single movement – simply by placing a finger on the scanning module. No key, card or numerical code is required for access. This means there is no possibility of such means of access being lost, forgotten, or passed on to unauthorised individuals. User profiles are set up using a smartphone with the ekey bionyx app. The app enables convenient management of user profiles and offers useful additional functions, such as the receipt of access notifications and the possibility to open the door remotely when out and about.
The eHandle FingerScan for doors is available in a number of new models, in the matt stainless steel and black matt finishes in line with current design trends.

HOPPE Kompakt window handle – Reduced design without rosette
Modern interior design styles often focuses on clear-cut design and simple elegance. To match this style, HOPPE’s new Kompakt window handle offers a subtle design that does not require a rosette. A reduced, on-trend design that goes well with a wide range of interior design concepts. The HOPPE Kompakt window handle is attached to a base, completely conceals it and the handle sits directly on the window profile. The four-point screw connection of the base ensures a stable fit on window profiles of all materials, including aluminium, wood and PVC. The new technology is available in the Austin, Hamburg and Toulon aluminium series, each available in the standard version and in a keyed locking version. The choices currently include silver effect (F1), bronze effect (F4), steel effect (F9) as well as the contemporary colours black matt (F9714M) and traffic white (F9016).

Handles of angular shape – Austin, Toulon and Miami
Clean lines, elegant design and angular shapes: such handles are on trend and ideal for contemporary interiors. HOPPE will be showcasing the Austin, Toulon and Miami handle series at BAU. The Austin handle series has a consistent linear shape and goes well with clear interior designs. The angular shape of the top of the Toulon series contrasts with the finger grips on the inside of the handle, which contribute to a pleasant feel. Both series are available as a product family. The large Miami handle is designed for floor-to-ceiling doors and accommodates the changed dimensions between door and room. A range of attractive finishes are available, including contemporary finishes like black matt.

Quick-FitPlus – now also for standard roses and escutcheons
The tried-and-tested Quick-FitPlus screwless connection is now also available for handle sets with standard roses and escutcheons. HOPPE thus offers a key installation advantage: handle roses and escutcheons from the Hamburg, Luxembourg and Verona aluminium series can be fitted quickly and without screws. Both, the roses and escutcheons with supporting lugs and the door handles are simply connected on the prepared door.
The through-going supporting lugs of the handle roses and escutcheons each consist of a pin and a sleeve made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic. By pushing them into each other they are firmly fixed free from play. No special door preparation is necessary. Just two guide holes (Ø = 7 mm) are required for the through-going supporting lugs of the roses and escutcheons.
A disassembly aid is provided for detaching the roses and escutcheons again. This is inserted into the handle rose or escutcheon and turned by 45 degrees. Pull firmly to release the connection and separate the two roses or escutcheons from each other.
