Allianz Arena

The Allianz Arena is one of the most spectacular stadiums in Germany. It has been lighting up the Munich skies since 2005. This spectacle is achieved using a unique facade construction consisting of diamond-shaped plastic panels that are illuminated from the inside. Originally, the facade was only able to light up in red, blue and white using fluorescent tubes. However, in 2015, the original lighting was replaced by LEDs that enable each individual panel to shine in 16 million colours. Matches and other events take place almost every day of the year in this spectacular stadium, which means there’s a lot to do for the HOPPE handle of excellence! Because HOPPE handles open all the doors in the stadium – our Paris model, to be precise. There are almost 1,600 handles in the stainless steel model installed throughout the stadium. And for good reason: Certified according to DIN EN 1906, this model is extremely durable and exceptionally robust.

RheinEnergieSTADION

The RheinEnergieSTADION, made of concrete, steel and glass, has long since become one of the landmarks of the city of Cologne with its luminous high steel towers on each corner.
In 2005, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities e. V. declared the stadium one of the most distinguished sporting and leisure facilities in the world. A maximum of 50,000 people can attend national and international matches here. Major pop and rock concerts also regularly take place at the RheinEnergieSTADION: Legendary bands and artists such as the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Phil Collins and Herbert Grönemeyer are among the stars to have performed here. As the sports or music fans move through the building, they are sure to encounter the HOPPE handle of excellence. Because they open all the doors in the RheinEnergieSTADION. Whether you’re in the fan shop, the VIP areas, the sanitary facilities or even in the Lukas Podolski box, you will find our robust Paris stainless steel model there! And even when it gets crowded, the curved end of the handle ensures that nobody will get caught on it.

Musée du quai Branly

Designed by Jean Nouvel and the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain, the Musée du quai Branly building resembles a long, partly wood-clad bridge that stretches into the trees. Inside the building, which rests on piles, everything is curved, fluid and, above all, inviting. Windows are replaced by glass walls and their transparency and the natural backdrop of trees do not distract from the artefacts on display. Handles from the Cortina series fit into this interior design with their unique finish and open the doors to visitors in the museum.

Gütschhöhe

The Gütschhöhe residential complex towering above Lucerne is special in many respects: The cooperative building consists entirely of rented apartments with particularly low rental rates. The interior fittings of the apartments at Gütschhöhe are modern and of high-quality: Oak parquet flooring, generous bathrooms and tasteful finishes create a very special atmosphere. A small but notable detail also plays a role here: The HOPPE handle of excellence on the doors and windows! Our Amsterdam and Stockholm stainless steel models in a traditional, cranked L-shape with a matt finish fit seamlessly into the appealing design of the residential complex. And, as a large number of families live here, the handle of excellence will be able to demonstrate its robustness and durability over a long period of time – in children’s bedrooms as well as in communal rooms.

Villa Turin

The handle of excellence can be found in all kinds of buildings, including detached houses of varying sizes and types. It can also be found in this villa, located on a hillside in Turin. From the terrace you can enjoy breathtaking views over the rooftops of the capital of Piedmont and the surrounding woodland. The modern architectural style of this extravagant house plays with a multitude of windows and elements made of glass – creating an open and bright building that is flooded with daylight. The windows and doors are opened using handles from the HOPPE Monte Carlo series, whose uniqueness complements the contemporary architecture and sets special accents in the villa.

Administration buildings

Das Düsseldorfer Stadttor

Das Düsseldorf Stadttor is an office and commercial building completed in 1998 and was given its name due to its gate-like construction. The facade consists mainly of glass, used in combination with steel columns and facade-high beech wood windows. The building successfully bridges the gap between the traditional symbol of a city gate and a contemporary working environment for 1,000 people.
The handle from the HOPPE Amsterdam series blends seamlessly into this high-contrast architecture. The elegant, timeless shape is characterised by the contrast between round elements and sharply accentuated edges.
Research has shown that employee performance and creativity are closely related to architecture. Open, modern spaces boost motivation and collaboration. Das Düsseldorf Stadttor offers an interior atmosphere that broadens perspectives and sparks inspiration.

Selimex

At the centre of a flat, rectangular water basin in the municipality of Latsch stands a large green cube – the Selimex building belonging to the Rizzi Group, a Vinschgau-based food manufacturer and distributor.
All work places in the building were consistently aligned to daylight, and the offices on the top floor are fitted out with custom, built-in furniture made of chestnut wood. At night, 330 evenly distributed LED spotlights illuminate the building facade made of glass elements and can light up the building in any colour.
Handles from the HOPPE Amsterdam series were selected for the building designed by architect Werner Tscholl. The elegant, timeless angular shape of the handle underlines the linear and geometric architecture of the building.

Fiera Milano

With around 345,000 square metres of exhibition space spread across eight separate exhibition halls, the new Milan Trade Fair, Fiera Milano, is not only one of the largest exhibition venues in the world, but also one of the most interesting when it comes to architecture. This is because the individual halls are connected to each other by a unique glass and steel construction. This roof was designed by Italian architect and designer Massimiliano Fuksas. The exhibition venue was completed in 2005, and since then the handle of excellence – in this case the Tôkyô model – has been at the centre of busy trade fair events. In early summer 2015, Fiera Milano was part of the exhibition grounds of the World EXPO, which attracted more than 21 million visitors.

Torre Unipol

The construction of this futuristic building was completed in 2012, adding another attraction to the new financial district of the Italian metropolis of Bologna. The 33-story Unipol Tower reaches 125 metres into the sky. The ninth-tallest building in Italy was planned and constructed by Open Project. Sustainability was at the forefront of all planning decisions: The skyscraper emits no emissions, a photovoltaic installation is used to generate electricity, and all the materials and products used were subjected to LEED testing (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). The Unipol Tower earned the Gold award, making it Italy’s first building to meet this internationally recognised standard in the highest category.
The architectural fittings chosen by the planners for the prestigious building include products from HOPPE. The interior doors in the skyscraper are fitted with 110 HOPPE handle sets from the Stockholm series in aluminium, which are certified according to DIN EN 1906. In the manufacture of its products, HOPPE ensures particularly energy-saving and low-emission production: That is one of the reasons why architectural fittings from HOPPE were the number one choice for the Unipol Tower.

Stockholm series

The Stockholm series has a teardrop-shaped cross-section that ensures a pleasant feel – and creates the characteristic, defined edge on the front of the handle. For impeccable interior design, the Stockholm series includes matching door and window handle fittings in aluminium and stainless steel.

Social and medical facilities

Ärztehaus

The Ärztehaus medical centre in Baden is located on a trapezoidal plot of land in the direct vicinity of the train station at Bahnhofsplatz. The side of the building that faces the station is adorned with a right-angled glass facade. A shallow water basin in the outdoor area is a horizontal extension of the facade and represents the omnipresent thermal water in the spa town of Baden. The glazed waiting areas have a bright atmosphere and afford views to the outside. In contrast to the linear architecture, our handle from the Phoenix series stands out: with its curved shape, it softens the sharp-edged construction and connects water to the inside of the building.

Phoenix series

The Phoenix series in brass surprises with a fusion of round, angular and curved elements that gently merge into one another. The result of the interplay between shape and material is a series that blends well into both classic and contemporary interior design styles.

Hotel Badener Hof/Mariazellerhof Sanatorium

In 1805, Emperor Franz of Austria purchased the then Mariazellerhof in Baden near Vienna in order to build a charitable house. The presence of a thermal spring on the site made the construction of a sanatorium an obvious choice. In 2005, the social institution building was renovated and largely replaced by a new building. Today it is part of the Hotel Badener Hof – where the doors are opened by handles from our Athinai series. Thanks to the use of matt stainless steel on the handle, the finish stands out from the chrome-plated lever neck and emphasises the combination of contemporary architecture with antique structures.
